Gifts That Give Back - 13.08.15

Claiming gifts and contributions can be tricky because ATO rules are complex.

Pam Butcher, Director of admintechniQs, is your local expert on gift and contribution regulations. She’ll ensure you not only comply, but get the maximum return available. Contact Pam and the team at admintechniQs on 0417 144 344 or e-mail: admin@admintechniqs.com.au to find out more.

A tax-deductable gift can be claimed by a person or organisation if:

  • It’s made to an individual, company, trust or other type of taxpayer.
  • It complies with any relevant gift conditions.
  • It really is a gift and is $2 or more.
  • It’s a gift of money or is a certain type of property.

Only individuals can claim deductions for contributions and they must:

  • Be an eligible contribution.
  • Be for an eligible fundraising event.
  • Comply with any extra conditions that apply to some DGRs.

Take the stress out of claiming gifts and contributions – contact Pam Butcher and
the team at admintechniQs today!
