SGC

SGC, Did You Know? - 09.09.15

Did you know, not all employees are eligible to receive SGC?

Calculating when an employee is eligible for Super Guarantee Charge can be difficult. So who isn’t eligible?

  • Employees paid less than $450 in a month (less than $350 for some hospitality awards)
  • Employees under 18 years working 30 hours or less per week
  • Non-resident employees for work done outside of Australia
  • Foreign executives who held certain visas or entry permits
  • Employees paid for domestic or private work 30 hours or less per week
  • Employees who receive payments under Remote Jobs and Communities Program RJCP (Formally CDEP)
  • Employees temporarily working in Australia, covered by bilateral super agreement

If you are unsure of whether you should be paying SGC or not. The ATO have provided a Super Guarantee Eligibility Tool

At admintechniQs we can take care of you and your employees SGC needs from wages to setting up and paying SGC via a clearing house to your super fund.
