This week the senate passed legislation to establish an Australian Small Business and Family Enterprise Ombudsman.
The aim is that the Small Business Ombudsman will link seamlessly with business.gov.au to help small businesses easily find out about other government services and programs, including general business advice.
The functions and powers the ombudsman will have include:
During the process of implementing this legislation businesses can look to the Small Business Commissioners for assistance when in need.
